Oldies but Goodies

Sure, I'm happy that Domino is back (online... sort of). But what I really miss is Cottage Living. That magazine was pure gold. Luckily there are some photos still online here. Let's reminisce, shall we?

Happy Friday!

  1. I still yearn for Cottage Living! It has been such a tough economy for shelter magazine. I think we have lost about 9 of them in the last 3 years! That has helped me a little with storage!

  2. I completely agree. Cottage Living remains as my all time favorite. Nothing has replaced it.

  5. Cottage Living WAS the best, wasn't it?

One of these pictures has inspired me to paint my pig gold. He's not popping in his current silver form.

  12. I can still buy special issues in stores. I bought one just last month called "Fresh Ideas." Old images (I think) reworked into new content.

  13. i was so sad when my subscription to cottage living stopped coming...and even more sad, when in it's place, i started receiving "wine spectator". (i don't drink...so, not a publication i find useful.)
    have a fantastic weekend.

  17. Cottage Living was one of my monthly reads. I miss it too!!! It would be great if they all came back....it's just not the same with all the new online mags. Though I will take what I can get...which is never enough magazines!

  18. I enjoyed Cottage Living too. We live in a small house and I've always been attracted to 'cozy and warm' vs. 'grand'. Cottage Living presented so many beautifully decorated small spaces and I have lots of Cottage Living photos in my inspiration journal.

  19. I never got to experience cottage living firsthand. So sad. So many of these are great! Really love the oversized chandeliers and fretwork mirrors behind the bed. Yum :)
