Inspired By... A Fresh Color Palette

It's always refreshing to come across inspiration for new color palettes. This was the case when I saw this image from Traditional Home:
I love this entire mix so much! The medium-toned wooden antique, the soft blue curtains and that Jadeite collection (I think?)! Then throw in a citron chair.. perfect.

I was so inspired by this image, I had to put together an "inspired by" board for it:
I have to admit I've been really into antiques that have a natural, warm patina'd medium-toned stain like in the inspiration picture. It is pretty easy to find if you check out auctions, etc. But if you don't want to go digging, Restoration Hardware has a similar stain option.

Inspired By... A Domino Bedroom

This image popped up in my Pinterest feed recently and I was happy to unexpectedly see it again. It was one of my favorite images from Domino from years and years ago. It's one of those spaces that made me want to become an interior designer.

This bedroom is/was the bedroom of actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife. I found the images of their beautiful home here.
The home was decorated by Nickey Kehoe (one of my all time favorite designers.. no wonder I love this room!)

I pulled some pieces together inspired by this beautiful space :)

Headboard - Skyline Furniture in Mystere Peacock Fabric (similar here)
Wall Color - Benjamin Moore Healing Aloe
Ruffle Pillow - Tourmaline (email me if you are interested!)
Lamp Shades - Pottery Barn

A Dreamy Closet & A Mustard Yellow Ottoman

This amazing closet has been popping up in my Pinterest feed lately.. I can't even imagine having a closet like this (and the clothes to fill it!)
Nate Berkus
But it wasn't the closet that caught my attention, it was gorgeous mustard yellow ottoman. It reminds me of the mustard yellow ottoman I selected for my shop!

For those of us who don't have such a fabulous closet, here are some pieces to create a "look for less" that would work anywhere in your home:

Inspiring Spaces: A Peacock Blue Sofa

I recently came across this living room in the portfolio of m. elle design and I adore it!

If you've followed my blog for a while, you know that I love simple spaces with a little bit of funkiness thrown in.. and HELLO peacock blue sofa! I wish there were more shots of this space (you can see a really cool chair peeking out of the bottom right corner, too).

I found this peacock blue chair on Overstock for only $300. It's a much less scary way to incorporate a bright upholstery color!
