It's about that time...

Time for swimwear! Every weekend this summer we'll be busy on house stuff, but our new community has a pool that I'd really like to get to once and a while. I haven't bought a bathing suit since college (!), and they all are a bit too skimpy now for this married old hag ;)

I just adore these suits from J.Crew!

You know you're getting old when you seriously consider a one piece! This is pink seersucker. It's so sweet.

I'd like any of the above, paired with this hat (also from J.Crew):

  3. No Way! The one piece is super sweet, but you should only get it if you really like it, not 'cause you're married :P I had almost a year ago (I'm 26) and worked REALLY hard to get back in shape, you won't see me covering up just because I've had a baby. From your pictures you look amazing, I'd say you can rock a two piece any day! :)

  6. I am longing for a dip in the pool in this hot and humid Dallas weather! Love those suits... especially the one piece (after Max was born I'm not in the *ahem* shape I one was in... one piece is a must)!! Thanks for posting!

  13. hah, you're not old for liking a one-piece. vintage one-pieces have been my preference since i was seventeen! i think they are so much prettier than bikinis.

  14. I'm also really wanting a new bathing suit - I'm really trying to stick to my spending freeze - all these sale prices are painful to pass by though!

  15. I love J.Crew suits. I just got a bikini in Italian Luxe and it's AMAZING fabric! It's like a second skin, no puckering or pinching and so, so flattering.

Also, Target has a hat that's basically identical to that. I picked it up for $12!

  19. Yikes!! I was 'old' at 13 when I gave up bikinis and switched to one pieces -- and I live in swimsuits all summer!! I think I'm just too modest to walk around in what is basically a tiny bra and mini panties - not going to do it. nope. ick.
