Progress at Casa Dunn

Our family came in town with paintbrushes in hand (not really); they have been soooooo helpful. I can't believe how much we've gotten accomplished!

We've painted the living room and kitchen, added blinds in the family room, added a new kitchen sink, and right now my dad is installing a ceiling fan.

Here are some action shots..

I had originally picked Mercer for our kitchen color, but it ended up being a bit too dark. I decided to choose the same color that used to be in our master bedroom in California:

Valspar "Seine"

  18. Are the chairs in front of the fireplace HENRIKSDAL chairs from Ikea? I'm debating on whether or not to purchase them online since we do not have an Ikea near us, but my husband is hesitant since he can't see if they're comfortable or not.

  33. I am so loving your house!!! I really need to paint but it's hard with one toddler and being pregnant. But after seeing your house, I just want it done now. Well, I guess I can just pretend to be living in your beautiful home for now! :)

  34. I also saw RL's mercer gray and decided to use it in my kitchen (white cabinets as well!) It was also a tad bit dark in my home, and I ended up going with a similar color called "Rockport Gray" by Benjamin Moore- it is beautiful against the white! Very nice choice.
