A dream of mine

Ever since starting my own little interior decorating business, it's been a dream of mine to get published. Well I'm excited to share that the day has come!!

This project has been featured in a before + after article of Charlotte Home & Garden, Charlotte's local design magazine. Here is the article!

The editor told me they don't like to have TVs in the shot, so luckily Slate Interiors let me borrow a LARGE piece of art. It was absolutely PERFECT and both the homeowner and I wish we could have kept it! (The article mentions I purchased it for the space but I didn't.. it was on loan).

Here is a picture I snapped with my iPhone while having the room shot:

It was really awesome! A big thanks to Charlotte Home & Gardens for featuring little ole me and my amazing clients for letting me take over their living room for a morning! :)

  1. I always wondered how designers got away with hiding their tv for a shoot and now I know! The artwork looks great, but it makes sense that there would be a tv there ;)

I wrote this post a few months ago about how a tv was the focus of one of Emily Henderson's designs. It's unfortunate how ugly they are, but everyone's got them! Someday I'll be able to shell out the $3,000 for one that looks like a framed mirror until you turn it on!

Can't wait to see the feature - your living room looks gorgeous!
