It's August?

I don't think I'm the only one out there who woke up this weekend and said, omfg it's August. And last night during Mad Men's Christmas episode, I counted the months - 4 months until Christmastime. It's just fascinating how time flies.

But I'm a FALL girl true and true, so I cannot wait! September is my favorite month (along with December). And I cannot wait to experience fall in the South.

And there is one room that just exudes fall, and it's Sarah Richardson's Farmhouse Living Room - one of my favorites:

The crest is my favorite part. If only I can find something so great for our living room!

I love the colors and textures she chose. Luxurious velvets in warm colors.

Bring on Fall!

I was thinking about xmas this morning ...we picked up pinecones during our walk - but my son tossed them all back into the bushes along the path before we got home...

  3. Beautiful!!!! That room is exactly what fall is for me.

I love fall, too. However last year fall was cut short because winter started in October here in MN, but hopefully the weather will pay us back this year and give us an extra long fall. Apple orchards, here I come!

  12. This living room is almost identical to yours, did you notice that? That's awesome. It will be great to see how you infuse your style into that space. I'd love to see a comparison of the two when it's "done" (design evolves so much-I don't think we ever "finish" a room, right?)

Love your work! And thanks for introducing us readers to other great designers as well.
