I don't think I'm the only one out there who woke up this weekend and said, omfg it's August. And last night during Mad Men's Christmas episode, I counted the months - 4 months until Christmastime. It's just fascinating how time flies.
But I'm a FALL girl true and true, so I cannot wait! September is my favorite month (along with December). And I cannot wait to experience fall in the South.
And there is one room that just exudes fall, and it's Sarah Richardson's Farmhouse Living Room - one of my favorites:
The crest is my favorite part. If only I can find something so great for our living room!
I love the colors and textures she chose. Luxurious velvets in warm colors.
Bring on Fall!

Beautiful!!!! That room is exactly what fall is for me.
ReplyDeleteI love fall, too. However last year fall was cut short because winter started in October here in MN, but hopefully the weather will pay us back this year and give us an extra long fall. Apple orchards, here I come!
you and your husband should take a drive up north in the fall to see the amazing colors- I am totally biased but Boston is beautiful in the Fall :)
ReplyDeleteSeptember in the South is still summer. Ha! Hopefully it will cool off sooner than later.
ReplyDeletePretty simages. Love her work.
Gorgeous room! I can't believe its August either..:(, and did the same counting to xmas while watching MadMen! (oh, and I LOVED The Help...very excited about this movie news!)
ReplyDeletei super heart fall too. and live in the south. but september is one of the hottest months of the year down here. fall really doesn't start until late october, november. sors.
ReplyDeletewhen it finally does happen though, it's pretty spectacular.
brooke is so right! september is one of the hottest months in the south! but october in north carolina is perfection.

I love Sarah Richardson!! I wish I could be her :)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I wish I could move right in.
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I was just thinking about how ready I am for the changing of seasons! Great room - although there really isn't anything by Sarah Richardson I don't love.
ReplyDeleteI love the vaulted ceiling.
ReplyDeleteI love the vaulted ceiling.
ReplyDeleteFall in the South is fantastic! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis living room is almost identical to yours, did you notice that? That's awesome. It will be great to see how you infuse your style into that space. I'd love to see a comparison of the two when it's "done" (design evolves so much-I don't think we ever "finish" a room, right?)
ReplyDeleteLove your work! And thanks for introducing us readers to other great designers as well.
