About a year and a half ago, I found out via the world wide web that casting and production had just begun for The Lovely Bones. I was soo excited, it's one of my favorite books and no matter how many times I read it, it always makes me cry.
The trailer is now out... I'm unsure if I'll love the movie as much as I love the book, but I do like how they have created the heaven scenes.
I loved this book as well, and I feel like I need to re-read it before I go see the movie...2009 seems to be the year of making my favorite books into movies, The Time Traveler's Wife happens to be one of my VERY favorites as well!
The book made me cry as well. December seems so far away! I'm sure the movie won't compare to the book but I'm going to be sure not to read the book again right before seeing it.
I have such a girl-crush on Rachel Weisz (playing the mom) that I'll probably have to see this movie even though I actually didn't love the book (sorry. I know everyone loves it, I must just be dead inside.)
OMG! This is also one of my faves that I have read over and over. I had no idea they had made it into a movie...thank you so much for posting! Looks great!
This is one of my favorite books of all times as well. I can't wait to see the movie. I also cry every time.
ReplyDeleteThis was an amazing book! I did not know they were making a movie about it. I cannot wait until it comes out!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm with you, the way they created Heaven is amazing. The whole thing looks much more suspenseful than the book was.
ReplyDeleteOMG, this was such a heartbreaking book. Based on the preview, I think I already approve the director's interpretation of the novel.
ReplyDeleteHave you read The Time Traveller's Wife? I read it right after the Lovely Bones and can't wait to see that movie too!
One of my favorite books too. I'm looking fwd to the movie, we'll have to see how much they stick to the story.
