Whew, what a week! I headed back to market yesterday and accomplished a lot. I think I can say this market was very successful!
While I was searching for clients, it was also fun seeing some pieces that I have been thinking about for my own house! I whipped up this little board for our family room:
I sat on the sofa (in the board) by Moss Studios and it was super deep and comfortable. I've been searching for the perfect sofa.. I think this one is a contender. I love that it's a slipcover but is nice and tight looking. Here is the one I saw in person:
If we did end up ordering this one, I would increase some height on the back.
I also love love love the Abacus chair from Noir and was excited to see it in person. I want to get rid of our IKEA chaise, get a bigger sofa and put a chair facing our fireplace.
The back is very interesting, which I like since that's what you'd see. It's super comfortable, too.
I love "planning" on what I'll add to our family room, but who knows when it will come to fruition...

love the inspiration! The sofa looks similar to my new one, but it's from RH.
ReplyDeleteSofa shopping can be tough. I want something comfy, but doesn't look to worn in, and something deep as well. Looks like you have a great option and the chair would make a beautiful addition.
ReplyDeleteI'm also on the hunt for a new sofa...am close to pulling the trigger on a english roll-arm style, though I do love those clean, straight lines too. I'd be interested to know pricing/dimensions for that sofa...
ReplyDeleteI adore your style! I am just dying over the abacus chair. Perfection!
ReplyDeleteThe Abacus chair from Noir is a contender for my living room!
ReplyDeleteI am using Noir constantly these days. Such good stuff!!
ReplyDeletep.s. I think my client is going to use that William Sonoma double chaise you posted. Did you find anything better? That one was almost half the price of the Windsor Smith one.
ReplyDeleteThat chair is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the process of picking and choosing items for our family room as well. I LOVE the white couch you have as inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteNoticed the skirted table. I have a large round table that fits perfectly in my living room but don't love the wood and wondered about doing a skirt but more like a drum. Does that make sense?? Are skirted tables really coming back? Hope so!
ReplyDeleteCheck out Robin Bruce too, they have a similiar sofa called Carly that was new this Market! Not even sure if it's up on the website yet.
ReplyDeleteI love the sofa. I just have an on and off relationship with my chairs. I change my mind ever so often that a chair doesnt stay so long to have memories with me. I need to stop that habit though.
ReplyDeleteBoth the sofa and chair would be perfect for one of my current clients!!! she is all about blues, yellows and shades of gray!
ReplyDeleteI really need some good sofas for the boys. I have two boys that plays basketball and they always have their friends around.
