First up is Kristen Panitch Interiors. She is located in Los Angeles. I'm a sucker for California design. Here are my favorites of hers..
[ all images found via her website here ]
Second is Lauren Stern Design. Lauren is located in NYC. (on a side note, I LOVE how simple and clean her website is. It makes me rethink mine...)
I feel like there is something so fresh about these two designers but I can't quite put my finger on it. I love that their spaces feel relaxing and casual but are still very visually interesting.

Gorgeous spaces! These designers are so talented. I love the look of the dark blue and white damask wallpaper in the foyer from the first designer! Both designers have great taste. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI am smitten. Love, wow.. I'm going back to look again, and again! xo
ReplyDeleteBoth designers are amazing. We really like the warmth and style of the first rooms.
ReplyDeleteIn Kristen Panitch's rooms, I like how they look like beautiful spaces where actual people live, like they haven't been "over decorated". Eclectic spaces where the homeowners kept some of their favorite pieces in the room instead of starting from scratch with all new furniture and accessories that they purchased all in the same shopping trip at the same store.
ReplyDeleteI have been a HUGE Kristen Panitch fan for a long time now. Her work is such an inspiration for me. I hadn't seen Lauren Stern's work before. I really like her stuff too. I completely agree about her website. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteLove the work of both. Really love. And I agree--- love how simple Lauren's site it!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who really likes science fiction, I really like the mirror and the two glowing 'horn' lights. Ok. I'm really a geek aren't I. But I wonder, are they made with japanese rice paper over an armature?
ReplyDeleteoooh, love both. I am going to save the first one for sure, all of those images are so something that would fly in New England residential.
ReplyDeleteLove them both, but especially the first one. I feel like I could just walk right in and sit down! So relaxing!
ReplyDeleteI really love the first designer and the use of bookshelves in the first two pictures. As a designer, do you like built-in bookshelves? I am crazy about built-ins and even told my husband that when we buy a house it has to have some. If you know of any good built-in designs, could you share them?
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. New designers that I'm adding to my list of favorites. I love all of the ethnic/global inspired fabrics sprinkled throughout!
ReplyDeleteI look at both of these and think comfy. Both designers seem to be really great at making interiors seem up-to-date, but classic and collected at the same time. There's not a whole lot trendy going on in either one. And the fabric choices! Wow.
ReplyDeleteI am partial to the Cali designers as well...Never heard of this particular lady. Thanks for the intro cause her work is purty!
ReplyDeletePure talents at mixing it up and combining different looks!
ReplyDeleteDid you catch my Q&A with Angie Hranowsky last Monday? I thought of you and Traci as I was putting it together :)
Wow, can't wait to check out their portfolios. I'm really drawn to that simple bathroom with the brick tile, and those incredible chevron wood floors in the bedroom...yowzas!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures, thanks!
Lauren
I fell in love with all of the homes in Kristin Panitch's portfolio when Paula shared it on her blog...every room felt so well-appointed and each element thoughtfully considered. And don't even get me started on Lauren Stern's portfolio...rumor has it that Jennifer Aniston was interested in buying the condo she decorated!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for these recommendations - I found so many gorgeous inspirations for future furniture designs.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with those last few images! I posted that penthouse on my blog a few weeks ago - the whole thing was amazing - it's so great to know who the designer is!
ReplyDeleteI loved the dinossaur room, especially the pictures and frames in the wall, really great space to stay!
