North Carolina - Represtent!

I know, I know by now you've probably seen these images a million times.. but I just had to do a post about it!

I've now lived in Charlotte, North Carolina a year and a half but it really feels like home for my husband and I. I was so proud and excited to see North Carolinian designer Lisa Sherry in the latest Lonny.

I've blogged about Lisa before (here and here and here). I've had the pleasure to meet her several times, do a little bit of freelance work for her and even walk market with her and her team. She has been so kind to me and she is truly one of my roll models. Her national (global?) recognition in Lonny is well-deserved!

two fabulous designers

Last week I came across two great designers via some of my favorite blogs (you can find my faves on my sidebar).

First up is Kristen Panitch Interiors. She is located in Los Angeles. I'm a sucker for California design. Here are my favorites of hers..

Second is Lauren Stern Design. Lauren is located in NYC. (on a side note, I LOVE how simple and clean her website is. It makes me rethink mine...)

I feel like there is something so fresh about these two designers but I can't quite put my finger on it. I love that their spaces feel relaxing and casual but are still very visually interesting.

Magic

I didn't know what to title this post, but the word "magic" came to mind. Last week I was able to meet a local designer who's work I have admired for a while. Her name is Lisa Sherry and her design firm is called Lisa Sherry Interieurs. After meeting her, she quickly became one of my all time design idols. Lisa is kind, genuine and is incredibly talented - meeting someone like this really adds fuel to my fire, so to speak.

Ashley Goforth

I stumbled upon Ashley Goforth's website recently (I don't remember how)... she is awesome! I love "discovering" new designers; it always inspires me. Check out some of her beautiful spaces - these are my favorite:

Designer Love

Vanessa De Vargas from Turquoise Design is one of my top ten favorite designers. I've admired her work for a while, so you can imagine how happy I was to see her work featured in Lonny Mag.

Anyway, it always puts a smile on my face when my favorite designers put new work up in their portfolio. Here is some new work of hers that I just discovered:
