I love this idea!

What a great idea, using wallpaper to make a boring staircase/sitting room into something spectacular:

If you look closely, this home looks like it once was cookie-cutter and builder basic.

And after a quick (less than 1 minute) search on realtor.com for homes in Charlotte, I found a very similar set up:

I think you could go either way: wallpaper the entire sitting room or just the one accent wall (also depends on the size, layout and ceiling height of the room). Either way, it's great inspiration.

ps - Anyone in Charlotte want help achieving this look? I just had to ask! ;)

  3. Clearly I've been missing out on your blog for quite some time, because I didn't realize you were moving here! I've been reading for almost a year, and I love your projects. I'm basically a Charlotte native and would love to show you around to my favorite decorating haunts and, of course, Hobby Lobby :-)

  4. I love doing something fun, bold and unexpected on a single wall like that. Hope you get to try something like this in your new CLT digs! (And you're gonna have to get used to CLT. It's not pretty, but it is what it is)!

  5. I have been considering wall paper lately. Would it be any different on plaster walls?

  6. Our living room is just like that. We've decided to either wallpaper that section or add some type of pattern.
