July 23rd & I'm dreaming of Fall...

Is it too early? I've been dreaming of fall lately. A little list of why fall is my favorite...

- Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes
- The building excitement knowing the holiday's are coming (sometimes the anticipation is even better than the actually holidays)
- Weather turning from way too hot to beautiful and cool
- Pretty, lightweight coats that are more fashion statements than weather protectors
- Wedding anniversary! (which is why we got married in the fall, because I love it so much)

Specifically this fall, I'm excited for becoming debt free. (by end of August to be exact!) It's a great (and greatly anticipated) accomplishment for us. There may be some other exciting things happening this fall, too. Maybe! Too early to tell.

Speaking of fall & our anniversary, I completely plan on spending our anniversary someday doing this:

Perhaps not this year's anniversary, but September is the perfect month to have a candlelit outdoor dinner. What better occasion to do that than our anniversary?

So it's only 8.5 more days until August... that's not TOO early to be dreaming about fall, is it?

  1. Once we get our first chilly night around here is when I start dreaming about fall. It just so happened last weekend was unseasonably cool. It felt like fall and if it wasn't mid July at the time I would have broke out all my fall decor. haha! We moved at the end of Sept last year and I didn't bother with dragging out the fall decor. I'm super excited about getting everything out this year.

  2. I am so with you on the wish for fall! Sweaters, chili, football, hot cocoa, I could go on and on. I hope this year's fall is an early one!

  3. I totally agree with you! Fall is my favorite time of year - I could also go on and on about all of the reasons why (I got married in the fall too!). It's been cool and rainy these past 2 days and I am dreading the hot weather that is coming back. I say bring on fall!

  6. I wish for fall for 8 months out of the year so you are not alone.

When I first saw the photo, I thought you were telling us you were going on safari. (They do this sort of thing at certain game reserves) I was going to have to kill you b/c I was so envious. But you are safe now. hehe

  7. I love fall too! For many of the same reasons you do (especially because of the pumpkin spice lattes and my wedding anniversary). I'm the kinda girl who breaks out a hoodie on the first sort of chilly night of summer-so I understand.

  8. Oh, don't say it! I loooooove summer. But I also remember longing for any slight change of season when I was living in Southern California too. In fact, when we moved back to Colorado, seasons were the best part! Enjoy your summer while it lasts :)

  10. As much as I too love fall, I will not even think about it. Our summer has been far too short, as June was a total wash, and after fall comes...a million months of freezing cold winter, and I feel like we JUST got through that, and I'm not ready for another one...not at all.

  17. Okay, so no one else is wondering what announcement you might have up your sleeve? Something that is maybe too early to tell right now?

    Are you EXPECTING?!

  18. haha I am definitely not expecting. Unfortunately we won't be having a baby for at least a good 3 years from now (unless there is an OOPS!). I will admit I always have baby fever though and can't wait! But we definitely need to get our ducks in a row first.
