It Cost WHAT?

I thought I'd do another addition of the "It Cost WHAT?" series. (I guess now that there are two posts, I can call it a series, eh?)

And here we go...

This is a great looking nightstand. It looks like it could easily be from West Elm. To take it to the next level, I'd add a really great looking pull. Something like this:

This is a great price for a beautiful faux bois rug. It'd be great in a dining room!

What I don't understand is Martha sells an almost identical rug through Neiman Marcus for $5,000. Of course the quality will be better in the higher priced rug, but it seems like a cannibalization issue from a branding standpoint.

I've featured this lamp before in a design board but had to share it again. It looks SO much more expensive than it really is.

This dining room table is one of my favorites. I've used it before and I recommend it to a lot of clients. The construction is flawless, and the wood finish is gorgeous; it looks so much more expensive than it is. The picture on the website does not do it justice:

Here it is in one of my client's dining room:

This is such a unique, beautiful chandelier for such a great price!

  2. When I saw that chandelier in my last catalog from Shades of Light, I couldn't believe the price. I really wanted to buy it but my current chandelier over the dining room table isn't even a year old yet. My husband would kill me if I replaced it. I need to find another place to hang it.

  6. I am a bargain hunter from birth as you can tell from my blog

Penney's is awesome for cheaper versions of higher end pieces. I have a console table that looks exactly the same as a Pottery Barn version for about $200 less.
Love the segment- keep them coming!
