I've fallen in love with a script fabric. Which is weird, usually I'm not into that because sometimes it can read very theme-y to me.
I first saw the fabric a couple months ago at Mary Jo's. It was so beautiful in person, there wrapped up on the roll. I went up and touched it (like I do with fabrics I am drawn to), and then walked away.
But I have been thinking about it since, and I've also seen it popping up.
I used it in a design board for a master bedroom:
I thought it'd be really cool as curtains. This particular client is a military family, and the script fabric reminded me of letters between a soldier and his wife.
Just yesterday I saw the same fabric on a chair in a local showroom. This morning, I saw it on Kirsten's blog, used in a Parade of Home home:
After a google search, I found it on a great little stool on Etsy:
It can be found at Lewis & Sharon for $50/yard:
But at Mary Jo's, it was only $34.98! It's not on their website, but I do know they place orders over the phone, so if you want this fabric give them a call. It's called "Script" and located by the cutting station near the home decor fabric. (they have no idea I'm endorsing this and I'm not getting anything from it.. I wish!)
I, myself, am wondering where I can use it :)

ReplyDeleteI love that chair. Just out of curiousity, what local shop did you see it in? We will be visiting my mother-in-law in Charlotte in September, and I'd love to see if it's still there...
ReplyDeleteSaw some of the same fabric online at lsfabrics.com just last week. It really caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteThey had 3 different script prints. Two of the 3 were only $16.98!! Of course I liked the one that was $50. but the other two were nice.
Now I feel better - my husband always makes fun of me touching all the fabrics I see, now I can say "Hey a designer I know does it too! It's a designer thing!"
ReplyDeleteoh my, I need this fabric in my life... it's so romantic.
ReplyDeleteLove the board! I have that same chair and desk in my room. :)
ReplyDeleteI also touch the fabrics I'm drawn too - and throw pillows too! Come to think of it, also with clothes. Geez, I need to keep my hands to myself!
ReplyDeleteLove this fabric on the chair the best. So pretty.
How about using it on a Roman Shade?
ReplyDeleteLS Fabrics also has a similar fabric called "Document" in 2 colorways for $16.98 per yard. Check it out!
ReplyDeleteAt first when I saw the furniture with the scroll fabric I wasn't a huge fan of it but then tonight I stumbled on these curtains on Anthropolgy and now I totally get what you mean. It was like love at first site...http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/catalog/productdetail.jsp?subCategoryId=HOME-CURTAINS-PRINTED&id=983128&catId=HOME-CURTAINS&pushId=HOME-CURTAINS&popId=HOME&sortProperties=&navCount=35&navAction=top&fromCategoryPage=true&selectedProductSize=&selectedProductSize1=&color=024&colorName=BEIGE&isSubcategory=true&isProduct=true&isBigImage=&templateType=hybrid
