If you've been around for a while, you'll remember my jewelry stored in a shadow box. I like this because it displays your beautiful jewelry as a work of art (and keeps dust away).

Jamie (Furbish Studio) had a brilliant idea to drape jewelry over a ceramic monkey from Z Gallerie:

Sherrie over at Young House Love stores her jewelry in a ceramic egg carton:

This hand from Z Gallerie would work great for draping necklaces and rings (the hand on the right):

Also from Z Gallerie, I love this huge clam shell. It's perfect for bulky necklaces, bracelets, really anything that won't tangle:

If you have some wall space, I like using wall hooks for necklaces. I love the sliding hooks on this Anthro one:
Another cute hook:
If you love industrial chic, these pipe hooks are so cool. I love the idea of hanging dainty jewelry on something so rough and masculine.

Hang earrings on this vintage mesh frame:

For you minimalists out there, I like this turning necklace holder.. very functional yet looks cool at the same time.

Add these these two boxes to create a vignette.

I will say my favorite jewelry storage are unique vintage dishes. Especially a small collection of dishes, preferably three, all different materials and sizes. I'm such a sucker for old things.
You can never go wrong with milk glass.

I just love this silver shell with two little legs.

Love this one too:

This guy is so weird in a good way. You could even hang necklaces off of the side of the dish.

Bone inlaid wooden box, absolutely beautiful:

I could go on and on...
If my selections are a bit too nontraditional for you, Design*Sponge did a great feature on jewelry storage. Check it out here.
Happy Friday!
Love all of these! I think my favorite image though is the one with the monkey!

Great post! I keep my jewelry in its original package, lined up in a drawer. But it'd be more fun to see them out!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea for a post! My mother actually made a jewelry storage unit for me out of an old window frame that I love! She actually sells them on Etsy too and they can be redone in any fabric(see below for the link)
