Jenny also asked me to create an idea board for her Master Bedroom - I loved doing this room. My inspiration was sand - I wanted to put all the colors of sand into this room. The result is a room that is completely neutral and calming.
Another important factor for me in this room was to keep in mind that Jenny's husband is a military man and I knew he wouldn't enjoy falling asleep in an overly feminine room. So I made sure to add in both feminine and masculine touches.
The Details:
- The sand colors include grays, tans, whites, ivories, and browns.
- In this room the feminine details are the upholstered bed, the clean, curved lines of the bed and the nightstands, the roman shade, the sheen in the duvet cover and candles.
- The masculine details are the the nail heads in the bed, burlap and jute textures, the stocky modern dresser, the oxidized metal vases and the steel side tables.
