Cookin' Queen

With our schedules lately, the husband and I have fallen off the wagon of home-cooked meal time. For the past couple months we have just pulled together whatever we can find, or have been eating separately. Next week I plan to get back up on that wagon, and here are some (low fat and low calorie) recipes I've been wanting to try!

Turkey Meatballs with Quick and Spicy Tomato Sauce and Whole-Wheat Speghetti

Chicken-Ham Lasagna

Rosemary-Merlot Flank Steak

Broiled Tilapia with Tomato Caper Salsa

As you can see, hub and I love comfort food - that's why I love Cooking Light and other sites like that, you can find recipes you love and learn ways to cook them with less calories and fat. I'll have to report back to see how they go!

  2. Those all look wonderful! Another tasty low-fat, low-cal dish you should definitely try is Raspberry Balsamic Chicken. Here's a link:

Most of the time, I just skip the marinade, grill the chicken, and pour the sauce over top!

  5. Turkey is sooo great in pasta! Recently we started buying ground turkey in place of ground beef and I add it to the sauce when we have spaghetti and use it in homemade chili.. sooo good!
