Art Room

If I make it through these layoffs alive and well, I have plans on converting the second guest room into an "art studio". We'll keep the twin bed in there just in case, but I am dying to put an easel in there and start up my painting again. I have a couple house paintings to finish for my in-laws, and then I'm going to start painting for pleasure.

I think it's important, especially in a marriage, to have something that you can do and enjoy all on your own. It helps you keep that individuality that sometimes gets lost with marriage.

Anyhow, I made an idea board of what I imagine the room to be - glamorous yet modern, a place I can get inspired.

Here is the board:

And in my normal fashion, I choose things that are inexpensive.

Pink sheets + cherry blossom bedding = Approx $50
Ikea Work chair - $25
Fabulous Chandelier - Approx $50
The three small vases are $3 each (at Ikea)
The bronze vases are found at Z Gallerie, but I would search Home Goods first to see if I can find something less expensive. They are $40 each. (I would prob only get one, too).

Approx total - Less than $150.

Art supplies will be around $100-$150, but I wouldn't put that into my "decorating" budget.
