Grasscloth Living Room Project

As promised, I have more pictures to share with you from one of my projects!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I finished this job a year ago and I just recently got pictures taken! But my goal this summer is to get all my portfolio pictures taken, so I have one down and a couple more to go ;)

My clients already had the gray dining room paint color and the gray sofa from Z Gallerie, so the starting point of the room was the grasscloth. It has a gray background which was a perfect tie in with the sofa and dining room. I'm sure you can imagine how happy I was when my clients agreed with the grasscloth! :)

These clients are a young married couple just starting their family and were on a budget (just like the majority of us young couples out there!) But we were able to do some nice custom pieces, and the rest was store bought and very budget friendly. Here are the sources:

Sofa - Z Gallerie
Orange Ottoman - Designed by me and custom made
Chairs - Found on Craigslist and reupholstered in Windsor Smith's Continuum fabric
Bookshelves - homedecorators.com
Wallpaper - designyourwall.com
Mirror - Client already owned, we spray painted it black.
Lamps on Bookshelves - West Elm
Curtains - JCP
Throw Pillows on Sofa - Custom made, middle fabric is Dwell Studios by Robert Allen
Pillows on Chairs - West Elm
Small Crystal Lamp - Robert Abbey

All images shown were photographed by my talented friend and photographer, Dana Mackay!

Friday Find

Recently I came across this awesome kitchen picture on Pinterest:

I LOVE the sconces near the sink and I am filing this away for my dream home ;) You know everyone always congregates in the kitchen, so it makes perfect sense to make the lighting home-y.

Currently these sconces are on sale at Pottery Barn and they'd look fantastic in a kitchen!

Summertime

I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July! It really feels like summer on the Fourth of July, doesn't it? We celebrated with friends eating sliders with special sauce, funfetti cake and then lighting fireworks for the kids. It was fun!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, but we did snap these pictures while relaxing yesterday:

It cracks me up how Henry sits like a human... and each animal has their own "spot", and luckily their "spots" are the same color as their fur.

Also, lately I've been posting a lot more on Instagram and thought I'd share in case you want to follow me! My Instagram name is brynalexandra. But warning - I post a lot of pictures of my animals.

On Tuesday I finally got around to getting a living room photographed. I finished this job over a year ago!! I'm working on doing some minor tweaks to my website and my goal is to get all my projects photographed before I launch it.

Here is the Instagram pic I took while it was getting photographed:

I finally had this room photographed today (it has been finished for a year!) One down, half a dozen more to go....

I will share more pictures from the shoot on Monday!
