The Oval Office: Before & After

Perhaps you've seen it already (sorry if you have), but check out the updates done to the Oval Office:

[ created by designer Michael Smith ]

I think it's great. Can you imagine designing for the president? Sure, any designer could have thrown in tons of pattern and texture and it would have been more interesting visually... but you have to know how the space lives. Color and pattern wouldn't have been appropriate in this space. I think it's perfectly subdued and sophisticated. And no matter what political party you are, you have to admit the president is just plain cool. And the turquoise lamps reflect that. On a side note, I cannot imagine designing for the president. Talk about pressure!!!

And for some comparisons, here are pictures of the Oval Office of the past (all found here)

Don't have much for you...

I have some meetings to run to this morning, so I don't have much for you. But I do have this wallpaper, which I love and so does my client :)

Today's post is about fashion.

Today's post is about fashion. It's almost fall, and fall is my favorite time of the year for clothes. Also, I was just introduced to Kendi Everyday, and I'm wildly inspired.

I'm a minimilist, so I don't need too many clothes. A few jeans, a good handful of tops, and a good handful of cardigans/jackets. A couple boots and a couple flats and I'm good. Here are some new things for fall that will help complete my wardrobe:
