While I do have a few framed posters (the gates, a copy of Rockwell's Rosie the Riveter, signed by the woman who sat for him as Rosie, and a Lichtenstein, which perfectly describes my husband and my relationship), I also have tons of photography taken by us, paintings made by parents and a 2 year old nephew, etc.

I see artwork as a way to tell a story, so it makes sense to have your clients pick their own.Lindsey@14footceilingshttp://14footceilings.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481334885690177821.post-22221329113922372172009-10-15T11:18:22.546-04:002009-10-15T11:18:22.546-04:00I agree!! Etsy has been my go-to place so far - Emily, I'd recommend searching the artwork section with something specific in mind, like painting or photography and then narrow it down even further by whatever subject matter you might want - bird, ocean, etc. My favorite artwork I've gotten so far has been an original collage painting by Paintbox.etsy.com. So affordable and cheerful!!
Another wall decoration I rely on are cute vintage plates to hang on the wall - add great pops of color and texture for cheap!Careyhttp://www.adriannedesigns.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481334885690177821.post-6905909086817242452009-10-14T16:27:24.104-04:002009-10-14T16:27:24.104-04:00I always love to purchase fro the artist or galler...I always love to purchase fro the artist or gallery if I can...but for now settle for Ebay or Etsy as an option. :)
I like your art!
Jen Ramos
'Cards & Prints You'll Love...'
www.madebygirl.com
madebygirl.blogspot.comJen of MadeByGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16679479589202186024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481334885690177821.post-48279513709891605342009-10-13T08:36:55.064-04:002009-10-13T08:36:55.064-04:00I totally agree that art is a personal thing. (Especially cheesey things like "Starry Night" from Van Gough!)

A photographer friend recommends taking close up photos of beautiful finds in nature and having them blown up on canvases. There are a number of sites that offer this service at reasonable rates.Karen https://www.blogger.com/profile/02441070110507014088noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3481334885690177821.post-8227999015284317582009-10-12T15:05:22.059-04:002009-10-12T15:05:22.059-04:00I'm with you.
