Here are the BEFORE pictures with my notes about our problem areas/things we need to tackle:
Yikes! You can see we have a lot to do! But this is something we've been putting of for a while (3 years to be exact!). As you can see, my husband loves to BBQ, and it will be so great to finally enjoy our patio when we have people over for his famous BBQ's! I can't wait!
As for my inspiration, I really love patios/outdoor spaces that don't feel perfect. I love patios that look worn and a little rustic. So that's definitely the vibe that I'm hoping to achieve.
All of the above inspiration pictures are from The Home Depot Patio Challenge Pinterest board. There are some really great bloggers participating, and I cannot wait to see what everyone does!!!
I'll keep you updated on my progress :)
Cannot wait to see the afters. Your inspiration pictures are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOn baited breath waiting to see the afters! :) By the way - what a lovely back yard in general! Lots of potential there.
ReplyDeleteBryn - looks like you have a great backyard and I'm sure the finished product will be beautiful! Can't wait to see the progress.
ReplyDeleteUm, I pretty much posted similar shots of our pitiful back patio last week, too! I am so excited about the new stuff....now for the hard work of making it look good in my dead yard! :) Fun to be participating in this with you...can't wait to see what you do!
ReplyDeletehow was this outdoor patio done? I mean was this only done by you?
ReplyDeleteI’ve learned that maintenance is the real key to enjoying time out on the patio the hard way. Before that life lesson, I’m ashamed to say that our patio was worse than yours. Haha! Anyway, I love the patio inspiration pictures. My personal pick would be #5. It’s simple (easy to clean), but the string lights give it character. -Kylee
ReplyDeleteThose are really nice outdoor space ideas! I like having hanging lights but the one with the trellis looks awesome too! Maybe you could combine those ideas and hope it works and looks nice.

These are wonderful patio ideas! They will really fit your outdoor because you have plenty of room to work with. By the way, I like the second and last photos of your patio ideas. Combining them would definitely result to an impressive patio. I'd love to hear what you went with!
ReplyDeleteI just read your post, and saw the "final product" over on the Home Depot blog and love what you did with your patio transformation. I've been thinking about doing something with our concrete slab of a patio, and you've given me some inspiration. I especially like the idea of stringing globe lights. Enjoy your new space!
ReplyDeleteAmazing Post on patio ! Thanks for posting this nice and descriptive post. Keep on posting these kinds of informative posts in future also.

I've seen this post before, just put some color on the table and chairs that may match the color of the sofa.
