Here are the before pictures:
And here are the afters:
As you can see, we still need the coffee table. We really want this one from Crate & Barrel . It's so beautiful (especially in person!) but unfortunately it's a bit out of our budget. We're still looking into some other options.
We also need two more pillows for the sofa!
One of my favorite parts of this project are these gorgeous navy blue velvet Lee Industries chairs. They were backordered forever, but the wait was worth it!! The navy velvet is so gorgeous.
Another favorite part of mine is the breakfast nook. I designed a custom banquette for the nook, and it turned out beautifully! We used indoor/outdoor fabric for easy clean up.
And I also used one of my favorite fabrics, Tulah by Lulu DK (it's in my header) for a cornice and valance in the kitchen.
I haven't yet mentioned it on my blog, but I have a new part time assistant and intern that have been helping me. They are AWESOME and have been such a help! The three of us are off to High Point this morning.. a budget friendly coffee table for this project is on my list of things to look for!
It's beautiful, Bryn! You're right, those chairs were definitely worth the wait. The rug is great too...where's it from?
ReplyDeleteI love all of it! I do not say that very often. The color palette is my favorite. Would you mind sharing where you got the rug? I used the same 'treillis' (Engl.?) pattern in our foyer (dark jewel blue and white) and repeating the pattern in a subtle way in our den would be nice I think. I was debating adding a vertical Greek key trim to the curtains (still have to purchase these) and the pillows on your chairs just convinced me to go ahead!
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous! Those velvet chairs look perfect to just curl up in next to the fire : )Rachel
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job!! Love the curtains and the blue velvet chairs!
ReplyDeleteI think this is one of your best rooms yet! Love everything you did here, especially the navy chairs and the rug. I join the chorus, where is the rug from?
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with this room. I'm working on a revised living room plan and the paint color from the before is almost identical as the one I'm working with now. What was the paint color you use in the after? Is it the same color that you carried into the kitchen? Greige?
ReplyDeletethat is one impressive before and after! dramatically fresh and beautiful - great job!!
ReplyDeleteLuv this room! Do you mind sharing the source of the pillow fabric on the navy sofas? Thanks in advance for any info.
ReplyDeleteThe room looks awesome! What is the name of the paint color you chose?
ReplyDeleteBryn, I love this room! I love that there is a TV in the mix, I love the paint color. It's perfect. It makes me wish I could paint our living room (it's the same as the before color) but we're renting so...it's a no-go. I love your design!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Those navy arm chairs are to die for. I really like the way you tied them in with the accent on the curtains too. Beautiful! Definitely share the finished up shots too if you get any! Goodness... I seriously am going to be dreaming about those arm chairs.
ReplyDeleteCan you please let me know the name of the fabric used for the pillows on those gorgeous navy chairs. Also what size are they? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBryn, this is amazing! I love the color palette, it's totally my style. Are those the same curtains you featured a couple months ago in your RAQ post? I'm currently searching for something just like the ones here and would so appreciate if you would share where you got them. Thanks!
