Leather Bags

Last year I received this leather bag for my birthday, and I haven't stopped using it since:

It's the perfect size.. it holds all my stuff that I carry on a daily basis and also my computer, paint decks and tape measurer when needed. The only problem is, it doesn't have pockets. I often find myself standing there digging for my keys or phone for what seems like forever.

I'm in the market for a similar bag that has at least one pocket (the more, the better!) Here are some I have been eying on Etsy!

I think this one is my favorite... I love the light blue leather, and that zipper!

Light Blue & Honey Brown Tote

Another beautiful bag by the same seller:

Navy & Sky Blue Leather Bag

This is a different Etsy seller, and you can customize the colors. I like this black & tan combo (but I also think the gray and mocca would be pretty, too! You can also pick which liner you want... I would definitely go with the indigo. What a fun detail when you open the bag!

Black & Tan Leather Bag
This one is a good price ($92) and is pink! I love the pink, but I may get sick of it...

Pink Leather Bag

Here are some bags from Nordstroms (not Etsy) that I like:

Halogen Everyday Tote

Lucca Medium Canvas & Leather Bag

Are there any that you have been eying that you think I would like (with pockets!)?

  1. I think your current bag is the best looking of the lot, save for the Lucca bag (which is a totally different shape). Have you thought about going to a shoe/bag repair place? You could see if they could add pockets to your existing bag. Just an idea.

  2. I love all the bags you feature here!  So fun.  I am like you- I have to have a larger tote to carry around all my papers and files throughout the day.  I really love my LV large tote, it's held up well and is so fun to carry!

  5. I carry a Longchamps, which has the same problem. What I did was get a couple of lightweight clutches to serve as pockets inside and hold all of my misc. small things. It's almost better than pockets because when I run errands after work and don't want to lug my whole bag, I just toss my keys, phone & wallet in one of the clutches, take that with me, and leave the rest in the car.

  6. Depending on your budget, MZ Wallace bags are amazing! I've had mine for a year and it still looks brand new. And they have tons of pockets for everything.

  7. If you'd like to keep using your current bag, try a Purseket!  Silly name, but a great product!

  8. I agree, I think your current bag is the best-looking!  I did a similar thing to Kira to solve the pocket dilemma in one of my favorite bags- I used cute toiletry bags of varying sizes to hold all the small things like lip gloss, tylenol, hand sanitizer, etc.  It works so well and makes everything easy to find!!

  9. I have a few rather large bags that I use during my commutes and long weeks of work and I've found that those cute pouches for make up/toiletries/pens (target, aveda, marshalls, etc) work wonders when keeping similar items of groups together. Makes it really easy to locate what you're looking for and I'm a sucker for cute bags with fun prints.

  14. Love your current bag! I agree with Jo, Carrie and Kira - pouches and smaller bags are great for organizing a large handbag. I actually did a post about it awhile back: http://ariannabelle.com/blog/2011/11/organizing-a-large-handbag.html

  15. I think you should try one of mine:) - http://cooper-grey.myshopify.com/collections/handbags-1

Pocket detail is currently in the works but honestly, I hate pockets and lining. I agree with a lot of commenters below regarding the toiletry pouch. I have 2 in my bag at all times:)
