Well, I picked up my pillows from my seamstress and I love them!!
The bright 1990's hues make me happy. It's ALMOST finished... I'm just waiting for the IKEA sofa to get back in stock :(
The other day their website showed they had one, JUST one, in stock. I drove all the way up to IKEA to get it and there wasn't any there. So then I was all bummed out so I got myself a hot cinammon roll to make my trip worth while. I won't be going back until they show good stock!
Also, somewhat unrelated, every time I bring in something new for my biz (swatches, rug samples, pillows) Henry loves to snuggle next to them. I think I could do an entire blog about him cuddling my design stuff. Cats are so weird!

ReplyDeleteOne of my cats is the same way. Every time I do any project or paperwork, he is all over it, just sprawling out and loving it. He also drapes himself all over me every chance he gets. This cat actually looks quite a big like Henry in his facial and body structure, just not quite as long haired. I wonder if it is something do do with the breed because my other cat isn't really like that as much. Beauty pillows! Perfect choice.

ReplyDeleteMy cats used to do that, too! They would wedge themselves into the bags of swatches that needed to go back to the showrooms...I always worried that someone allergic was going to run into them...but then I stopped worrying because it was just so darned cute :-)

I'm wondering if you ever suggested an IKEA couch for a client...I have a client now who wants style on a budget and has little ones...do you have any experience on how they wear? They look great and can't beat the price....I'm leaning towards gettin' them!

ReplyDeleteAww, my dog does the same thing, lays down right in the middle of my project. So cute, that makes me want a cat! but I'm sure her hair sticks to those gorgeous pillows big time.
ReplyDeleteHenry is so adorable! So true about cats ... they like to leave their mark! We have four kitties, and the always seem to find the funniest places to snuggle up. I've purchased a bunch of things online recently for an upcoming project, so I've been getting a lot of boxes delivered. Two of the most kitty-friendly boxes (plus the enclosed packaging paper) have been sitting out in our living room for a week because they are the new favorite cat beds. Not so great to look at, but my furballs love them!
