Fresh Striped Bathroom

The striped bathroom has been done many times before.. but I was excited to see a couple pictures of the striped bathroom Tobi Fairley did in the new Hampton Design Showhouse by Traditional Home. It feels very "fresh" to me. I love the colors!

I love the use of huge, fat stripes in the small space. I think I'll be using this treatment in my own striped bathroom.

And speaking of... MIL is here for a visit and I had planned on painting the bathroom with her. But unfortunately (and fortunately) I'm so busy the project is being postponed. Instead I'll be taking some breaks from work and we'll be finishing up some small little not-so-fun things that have been on my "to do" list for a while.

  1. Those bold stripes are awesome. The width of them really makes it feel more modern. Plus, that color rocks.

  2. I love, love, love stripes! I just painted 13 inch stripes in my hallway rotunda and it makes me happy every time I look at it. Looking forward to see your bathroom if you decide to go that route.

  3. I'd love to know what colors the stripes are. What a great shade of orange. We have to be careful with orange in click to much to the right and it's VOLS click on the other direction and it's LONG HORN orange.  Tsk, orange can be such a hazard! hahah. Glad to see it in such a great light.

  4. I love the mix of straight lines on the walls, and curved lines in the art. The striped look can be so harsh without curves thrown in, but this is very nice!

  5. Great bathroom!!  I just painted our small hallway with wide stripes and they worked wonders.  Congratulations on being so busy!

  6. i love the roman shades!!  and i love that you and your MIL are so close, really that's such a blessing!

  7. I am so drawn to stripes in any room...horizontal more so than vertical, but still think they're great!
