So when Kirsten was here, we talked a lot about blogging (naturally). And she said something like "I read your blog everyday I don't follow your blog because there isn't a button". Ack! Now I feel stupid!!
I thought by adding the "subscribe" widget on my sidebar a while ago fixed that, but she suggested I added the "Followers" widget. So I did! It's on my sidebar so I'd love if you visit and follow this blog :)
I'm still not sure how I got 400 or so followers considering I never had anything up. I guess those of you already following my blog are very savvy :)
Okay I'm glad we covered that. I'd like to leave you with (I think) my favorite thing I saw at Market.
This is a glass lamp with MESH CHAIN over it. It's so sexy, isn't it? And unique. Yet simple and not too crazy... it could go in any room.
I snapped iPhone pictures of other items I saw that I liked.. I'll be sharing them next week.
ps - I'm babysitting not once, but twice this weekend. It's either going to be great birth control or give me major baby fever. :)

Hey Bryn, I follow you in google reader - not sure if you're aware of this but when reading this post I checked the details about your blog there and you have more than 4000 subscribers through google reader! It's cool that you added the google friend connect though,, I'll add my name to the list. I'd also been thinking about adding google friend connect to my blog, and this gave me the little push to go do it! Thanks! :) xx
ReplyDeleteIf you type your main blog address into Google reader, it allows you to be followed. ITs a way to bypass the button. Im guessing thats how your followers did it (thats what I did) =o)
ReplyDeleteI follow you in my google reader too.
ReplyDeleteLove that lamp!
ReplyDeleteCute lamp!
ReplyDeleteI`m your latest follower but I`ve been reading your blog for a looong time;)
Lovely greetings...

I'm now your newest follower :) And, just so you know, I added two more Google Ad boxes to my blog! I know you'll be clicking on them. Ha!
ReplyDeleteIf you go to your dashboard and click "add" under your blog roll, you can add any blog address you want, even if they don't have the follow widget. That's how I did it over a year ago! The follow widget just makes it easier since it's one click and it makes it more public!
ReplyDeleteThat lamp is beautiful! I used Arteriors lamps in our master and I was really impressed with how they packaged them for shipping, there is no way they shades were going to get creased or broken.
ReplyDeleteI like that lamp, but I am trying to picture it in the rooms in my house. It won't work. But I see what you mean. It could be very versatile.

I love seeing your home on 6th Street Design - it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYay!!
ReplyDeleteLook at all those lovely faces on your sidebar :) Aren't they pretty :) I am probably the dumb one who just didn't get how to follow you. It sounds like everyone else understood it. But either way I'm so happy I get to follow you on my dashboard now!
looking forward to the High Point photo's have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust FYI, I follow you through my Google Reader subscription. Want to come babysit for my kids? Though I can't promise whether you'll get baby fever or baby birth control :) If you babysit during the middle of the night you'll probably get the latter!
ReplyDeleteOh Bryn, it's so unusual...love it!! While we're on the subject, do you have a button to follow via email. I love to be informed when a new post is up...just wondering - love your blog!!
ReplyDeleteEven easier, I use Google Chrome and bookmark all my favs in a Home Ideas file and Bryn is right at the top.
ReplyDeleteYou must have had the button up before your blog redesign awhile ago - I've been a follower forevah.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm crushing on that lamp.
That is a great lamp!
ReplyDeleteAnthropologie sells this lamp, but I had no idea it was available elsewhere. I loved it so much (but not the price) that I bought one of those copper scrubby thingies for dishes and unrolled it to see if I could fit it over one of my glass lamps. Alas, it was not wide enough...

I remember us having this discussion about your following button way back in November. I thought you mentioned you didn't really care for the follow button. Glad it is up now...so that I can follow. Although you are on my blog roll.

That is a sexy lamp! Very unique. I laughed when you said your friend mentioned that you didn't have a button. When i first found you I was in a Huh how come I cant follow. I had to add it to my Google page so when I open my browser your blog post are on my front page. Thanks for adding the button now I can follow too.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog. Have a great Tuesday.
