This picture recently stopped me in my tracks:
It was taken by my friend Kelly of High Street Market (on her iPhone!). It's such a perfect depiction of early fall. Usually when you think of fall, you think oranges and reds and browns and yellows. But look at this! Grays and purples and greens. And then I got to thinking... it would be a perfect color palette for an interior.
And here are some pieces that fit in with this color palette [sources below]:

Ohh I love this color combo! I adore purple but have wondered how to use it without it seeming feminine, this is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh this is beautiful! I'm a great fan of orange all year round & am going to tuck this color pallet away for future use!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love fall colors. So rich and warm!
ReplyDeleteRachel from La Bella Bungalow just posted this sort of color palette the other day! I've never thought about it...but it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love that styling! I think I'd like it for a man cave - something that's really masculine but isn't reminiscent of a frat house.
ReplyDeleteLove this color pallet. So warm yet bright as well.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this mix of colors. I'm looking for some pumpkin colored pillows to add to our family room for fall. :)

Beautiful! Love the intro of purple!
ReplyDeleteI have on a shirt that is that wonderful green, and I was just thinking that I should have worn my orange jacket with it instead of a boring khaki cardigan! too funny.
ReplyDeleteHello. This post in GENIUS. That is all.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
ReplyDeleteHappy autumn!
Love, love, love these colors! I just found her blog and love it :)
ReplyDeleteVery similar to the orange/purple pallete I'm working on (from the sea shell inspiration) for my dining room! Love the gray and green in it too!

Yes yes! I'm so done with yellow and orange and especially brown for fall. Love the color combo you came up with. I added to my Inspired by blog party (summer fruits, not fall cabbages, but the same idea.) Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI want that entire inspiration board! GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! It is spring here in Australia but I can't stop looking at this combination.
ReplyDeleteI loveeeeeeeee it!!! the picture made me so happy!
ReplyDeletelovely picture! The color scheme is exactly what i incorporated into my living room for Fall a few weeks ago, since I already have the pumpkin-colored walls. The green and purple work perfectly as an accent. Love all those saturated tones!
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could buy that beautiful green chair!
ReplyDeleteLove it! what a great photo and fabulous interpretation of it!!
