Look For Less: White Drapery

This drapery from IKEA is really great. Simple, beautiful sort-of-nubby fabric, long length and above all - affordable.



I know, the picture isn't too flattering. But trust me on this one!

And thanks to IKEA and their affordable drapes, you could easily create a look like this:

It's okay if you cannot afford yards and yards of billow-y, expensive prints and fabrics for drapery. I cannot either! So this is a great, affordable option. You can't go wrong with white.

    We just hung those curtains Sunday - for the price they are actually quite nice :)

    You are right! Those Ikea drapes look so much better in person. I have them in the beige and they look almost like linen!

    I'm right there with you on this one, just bought a few panels to get that voluptuous look...although just a warning as a fellow designer, the hand of the fabric leaves something to be desired. They fall well, but it's some kind of polyester thats not too soft. Still great simple & cheap choice!

    I Love IKEA curtains! I actually used the Anna [white linen] curtains to upholster my headboard in my master bedroom. You can't find linen for less...Sherry

    I may be out in left field, but I find the curtains in the second photo to look limp, uneven, and generally unkept, like cheesecloth. Is that a new trend? I really don't know; I'm just asking.

    Bryn, You are right on, as always. I bought six sets of creamy white drapes from IKEA ten years ago. They look brand new, and I still get compliments. People can never believe they are from IKEA. :)
