I haven't loved the show Design Star this season, but I HAVE absolutely loved and adored contestant Emily. So I've been watching only for her, and here she is in the top two. Yay! Her style is right up my alley, and I adore the room she just did this past Sunday. Check it out:
So perfect!
Well I wanted to let you know that the same fabric she used in her room is for sale over at my shop and is only $25.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her! Fabulous. Finally, we got to see their individual design styles, and I have to say...I'm diggin' her!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way....this season has not been very inspiring or innovative. Some of the rooms...I'm like "really people" that's all you could come up with. I do however like Emily, I like her style and her whole personality.
ReplyDeleteI love this room too! I think she has the most organic sense of design. The others seem to be more contrived and more "showy," but she shows her personality more. I like that she's not afraid to make mistakes!
ReplyDeleteDad and I stumbled upon this show and was thinking you'd be a great candidate ;) Mom
ReplyDeletei heart emily too! there has not been too much talk about this season of design star on many blogs, but i love that they are finally doing individual challenges without crazy/weird restrictions. there have been a few too many moments in this season where i was like "whaaaaa....?" when i saw the room reveals!
ReplyDeleteemily rocks.
i loved that green sofa she put in her space.
i totally hope she wins.
Love her too, she is amazing!! I also love her show idea :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree - I have not at all been in love with this season - from the very beginning though seeing their work on their portfolios on hgtv I loved Emily's style, I really hope she wins and can do an hgtv home with her sense of style - I'd certainly watch!
ReplyDeleteLove her so much too!! Her room last night totally sold me. I especially loved her mix of colors with the gorgeous green sofa and that beautiful textile focal wall. her accessories were fabulous and especially loved the extremely eclectic grouping on the shelves!!
ReplyDeletethis room is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI've been "background watching" most of the episodes b/c some of the contestants were annoying (nina!) and I thought it was lame that they had group challenge, after group challenge, after group challenge. I had seen Emily's portfolio though and loved her aesthetic and wanted to see what she could do. This last episode was the first time she really had a chance to show her talents and she didn't disappoint. I'm rooting for her!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post, as I too have been dissapointed with this season--Emily was my only reason to watch as well. I love her quirkiness and her style--as well as those SHOES! Anyone know where I can get those!?? Love em--she just has a very fabulous sense of self and communicates it through her designs. Rooting for her all the way!
ReplyDeleteThat room blew me away. I LOVED it. Definitely the first "wow" (or even watchable) moment of the season for me!
