E-Decorating: After

I was so excited to see these images in my inbox this weekend! A little background before I share....

Typically when I send off a design board, I'll get a couple questions back and comments like "we love it! thank you!" It makes me feel really good to help people all over the country with their decorating needs, but I rarely see any "after" images.

The great thing about design boards are you could follow the boards exactly or you can use the board as inspiration/a starting point. These particular clients used my board as a starting off point and ultimately created a space that had the exact same feeling I was going for. Because no matter what materials, colors, etc you use... it's all about how you feel when you walk into the room. I wanted this space to be fun, happy, but also elegant. The clients did an AMAZING job at achieving this!

Here is my original design board:

I advised them to pull inspiration from their Chiang Mai pillows in the next room (I believe this print is so popular because of the vivid and beautiful colors):

Although they didn't go with the light blue and red from the print, they went with the black, white and turquoise.

Here are the afters!

They did such a great job! I love the wallpaper they went with and the needlepoint pillow on the vintage chair.

  13. I always wondered how e-consulting worked. Great job to both of you! It's very fun and elegant - look achieved. I'm headed to Charlotte to see my mother-in-law this weekend. We are going to throw her a surprise retirement dinner party at Cafe Monte...hope it goes well. I've never been there before. Any good suggestions for home shopping while I'm there?

  18. Very cool interpretation of your board. I know your love of wallpaper, but I've always been intimidated by not only putting it up, but also by the ease of changing it...or rather lack of ease! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this as maybe a blog post sometime.

  26. GREAT job! I love your ideas, and I love how they took your suggestions and made them their own. VERY chic space...I, too, would love to have an entry like this!

Any chance you could add a "Before" photo to this post? It would be so interesting to see what they started with, and it would really give us an idea of just how much the space has been transformed. It might also inspire some new business for you - it would be a great way for potential clients to see just how helpful your e-service can be!
