Those of you who have been reading the blog a while know I love pictures of pretty spaces. I love sharing them too! Here are some that I've been hoarding lately.
I love this kitchen countertop. It's just so gorgeous! When we replace our countertops (someday), I have fantasies of putting butcher block on the island and standing there oiling it to make it shine like below. I love a good shine.
Speaking of kitchens - this is probably one of my favorites. That floor is to die for. I'd love to do a herringbone slate floor in our bathrooms, but I think that may be too much for this house. (Thinking about resell). Maybe our next one.
This picture comes from Design*Sponge... a really awesome before and after. My favorite part is the mirror that comes over above the toilet. They did a great job of making the bathroom feel more like a room.
So, when Matt's Nanni (grandmother) came to visit, she brought us some crewel fabric that is at least 100 years old. It's gorgeous and so sentimental. I have plans on using it as a big focal point in our master. The colors are similar to this room below. I hope to create a similar feel.
I love the idea of a bright, graphic ottoman. I think one would work well in either our family room or our living room.
Love this bathroom from House Beautiful. Love love love.
I also love this painting, it's very catching isn't it? Nanni also brought me some old oil paints, and I am going to start painting again (if I have time!). I hope to be able to create some original art for the house.
