Spotted & Sourced: Rough Linen

Isn't it a bummer when you see something in a magazine you love and look at the credits and it says "antique". Example.. this image from May/June 2008 Cottage Living:

When I saw this image, I was in love with that rough linen pillow. It's antique.

But did you see Design*Sponge this AM? Grace featured Rough Linen, a source for beautiful linens like the pillow above.

Loooove:

Speaking of linen, Denver Fabrics has 100% Linen on sale right now for $7.95. This tan linen is pretty similar to my Cottage Living inspiration picture (click on image for link):

It would be great for so many things... pillows, sofa slipcovers, even a duvet if you are brave (or have a great seamstress).

ps- thanks to you readers for the previous tip of putting black paper behind my magazine scan. It worked beautifully on the image above.

  3. Ah I must agree with you. I get so bummed when it says antique and you can't just go and pick it up!

  4. Wow, thank you! It took me a long time to find the coarser weave, natural linen I use for Rough Linen - I needed it to be European for the quality, and at a reasonable price. It feels very similar to the antique Irish linen I have, from my grandmother. So glad you get it!
