Natural Instincts

Wednesday night I was walking the aisles of Target and decided on a whim to dye my hair a couple shades darker. I am really happy how it turned out! I decided to go with a semi-permanent hair color. I recommend it to any girls out there with natural brown hair who wants to take it down a couple notches.

Color: Ebony Mocha

A new look for a new year!

  1. What a coincidence! I dyed my hair brown this morning. But I'm not happy with the results. I used to dye it reddish brown but my best friend said it was looking too brassy/orangey. Now it looks flat & dark. I think I need highlights. What have I started? Your hair looks great!
    Happy New Year!

  2. So pretty! I hope you guys have a great new year!

  3. I just did this, too! Except I used henna from Lush. Love it. (there's a pic on my blog, if you're curious about henna's results)

  4. wow your hair looks so amazing..shiny and rich which is hard for us naturally curly girls.. you might have talked me into something here..
by the way.. I completely and utterly have a blog crush on are amazing and I love your blog.

  5. You all are so cute (and young!). You're going to think I'm an old lady :) I like the hair color.

  6. Oh, it's gorgeous. I always loved Charlotte's brown hair on SATC. Your new hair color is very Charlotte-y.

  7. That's so funny - I've been wandering down the hair dye aisle a lot these past two weeks. I've been wanting to give my brown hair some extra oomph but have yet to find a color that I really like. I love to take my brown hair and dye it another brown shade - it's fun since Brown can get so mousy looking at times!

  8. Your hair looks fabulous here - cheers to that and Happy New Year!

  9. I've been wanting to try getting my hair darker, less red tones, and this looks like the exact color I was wanting. Hmm, now I need to decide if waking the husband up at 5 a.m. to go buy hair dye would be a smart idea.... :)
