Today at Home Goods I spotted this velvet (velveteen?) green chair on clearance for $140. I was dying over the color, such a rich emerald (which just happens to be my birth stone). I emailed my husband "can we get this?" with the picture attached. I was denied. (I can't argue with him though... it's looking like we're going to be owing a lot of taxes. Ugh!)
The arms are a little outdated, and the legs definitely need to be either replaced or painted, but for the price, it'd be a great chair to bring home. Can't you just imagine it in a black room with a cognac leather couch?

I love the white square "frames" that are on the couch cushions those are awesome, do you think there is a way to do that do an existing couch cushion?
ReplyDeleteEmily - you could technically use Fabritac or iron on glue but in my opinion the only way to do it right is to take it to a seamstress to be sewn onto the cushion cover. That is, if your sofa has zip on cushion covers. I'd be afraid the glue option would look cheap, and ruin your couch!
ReplyDeletedenied! damn. sorry.
ReplyDeletei saw that same chair and fell in love with it! it's so hard to walk away from something so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous color! I can just see it paired with a light blue or a bold sapphire. Too bad you weren't allowed to take him home!

ReplyDeleteGood news... we won't have to pay! Gotta save the money we get this year though...

ReplyDeleteI want the green chair! What Home Goods was it at?
ReplyDeleteChic! There's a home in the latest Elle Decor that has unexpected green accents in an otherwise black and white and neutral room. It's breathtaking.
ReplyDeleteI love the emerald green color and that is a great deal on the chair. I also love the background on your blog it really gives you a sense of texture.
