This weekend I decided to put up some Christmas decorations! I wasn't originally going to do any, but the season got the best of me.
After seeing some pictures on some of my favorite blogs, I couldn't get red and pink out of my head. I was set out to find red and pink bulbs.... and I lucked out! I found a 3 day sale at Joann's; 60% off!
Nothing too detailed (I'm all about less is more), but here are the pictures...
The room view... as you can see, I didn't add much.
I love how the bulbs turned out with my crystal candlesticks!
I pulled out the glitter - and glittered some pine cones... fun and inexpensive.
Ta-Da! I believe this is the first picture I've posted of my new painted white chairs. We hung our new Potter Barn pendant this weekend with the ever-so-helpfully-handy Sterin.
Our entryway table - the glittered star I got from my Ornament Exchange buddy!
And lastly, the tree! It is very simple - white lights and red and pink bulbs.
I love the vintage feel it has.
This Christmas was about simple and clean. Just enough to keep us in the holiday spirit.
We took our Christmas card picture today, too! We had a lot fun trying to work the camera timer. I don't want to post the card until I get a chance to get them sent out, but I'll leave you with a blooper...
(This dress is a fabulous vintage find I found in Austin. It actually was made by a group of female union workers in the 50s!)

ReplyDeleteI was just wondering if you could tell me what the paint color in your living room is called?

ReplyDeleteWhen you said "pink and red" I was like, huh? I couldn't picture it looking classy. Oh but it does!! Your decorations are just beautiful. It took me a minute to realise that the first pic wasn't a "before" shot, but the after with lovely subtle touches. You've such a knack, girl.
